Salmon and trout reports

Monday 21st to Sunday 27th January 2008

RIVER DROWES

The River has been running at high levels after the fairly heavy rainfall and allied to the windy conditions at times, there were only a handful of anglers fishing over the week. There was a 6lb salmon recorded on Saturday caught by a Belfast angler on the spinner from the Blackwater. At present water levels are falling which should give more desirable levels on the river but the forecast for the week is for very wintry conditions with strong winds, snow & sleet!
